WHAT THIS POLICY DOES NOT COVER
This policy does not cover clinical care. If you are a patient of Ivy Health Clinic, the personal and health information in your clinical record is handled under Ivy Health Clinic's own privacy practices and applicable health privacy law. Nothing in this policy changes how your clinical information is handled, and buying an education product does not move your clinical information into it. The two are kept separate.
WHO WE SERVE
Our products and programs are directed to residents of Canada and the United States. We do not market them elsewhere.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Information you give us:
- Your first and last name, email address, and billing country, province or state, and postal or ZIP code
- Payment details, which are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
- A record of what you purchased and when
- Anything you write to us by email or through a form on the site
- If you attend a live session: anything you type in the chat or Q&A, and your name, image and voice if you turn on your camera, speak, or are spotlighted
Information collected automatically:
- Website usage — pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location, browser and device — through Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, using cookies
- Squarespace hosting and visitor cookies
- Whether you open or click our emails, through Flodesk
- Which lessons and recordings you access in your course account
HOW WE USE IT
- To deliver what you bought: course access, join links, recordings
- To send receipts and keep the tax and business records we are legally required to keep
- To answer you when you contact us
- To send email you have signed up to receive
- To understand how the website and our emails are performing
- To meet our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
LIVE SESSIONS AND RECORDINGS
Live sessions are recorded, and the recording is made available afterward to everyone who purchased that session or the series. Recordings are hosted online and streamed through your course account.
Attendees can see and hear one another during live sessions. If you turn on your camera, speak, are spotlighted, or post in the chat, your name, image, voice and words may be captured in the recording and shared with other purchasers.
If you would rather not appear, you can attend the entire session without appearing: keep your camera and microphone off, set your display name to a first name or initials, and send questions through the chat or Q&A rather than speaking. You can also skip the live session and watch the recording instead.
Please do not share personal health information in the chat. It is visible to other attendees and may be captured in the recording.
Please decide before you appear. Once a session has been recorded and made available to purchasers, we are not able to edit you out of it or recall copies that have already been accessed. In exceptional circumstances we may consider withdrawing a recording from circulation, but we cannot promise to do so.
Attendees may not record, screenshot, photograph or otherwise capture any part of a live session, or share images or information about other attendees.
COOKIES
Our website uses cookies. Squarespace sets cookies needed for the site to work and to count visitors. Google Analytics sets cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH
We use the following service providers, who handle information on our behalf:
- Squarespace — website hosting and site analytics
- ThriveCart — checkout, purchase records, and course access
- Stripe — card payments
- Flodesk — email list and email delivery
- Google (Analytics and Tag Manager) — website analytics

We may also disclose personal information if we are required to by law.
WHERE YOUR INFORMATION IS STORED
The providers listed above store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held in another country may be accessible to the courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of that country under its laws.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
- Email list: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep a minimal record so you are not accidentally added back.
- Purchase and tax records: six years, as required for Canadian business records.
- Course accounts and access: for as long as your access lasts, plus a short period afterward.
- Session recordings: at least twelve months after the final session of the series, after which they may be deleted.
- Website analytics: retained by Google for up to fourteen months.
YOUR CHOICES
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it. Email hello@drschamerhorn.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Some limits apply. We must keep purchase and tax records for six years even if you ask us to delete them. And as described above, we cannot remove you from a recording that has already been made available to purchasers.
You can withdraw your consent to our use of your information, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. If you withdraw consent we may not be able to continue providing a product you have purchased.
SECURITY
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, and we rely on the security practices of the providers listed above. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
CHILDREN
Our products are intended for adults. They are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy. The current version and the date it was last updated are always shown at the top of this page.
